Just like everything else in Real Estate the world of title insurance companies has changed as well. It used to be that after you negotiated a deal to purchase real estate it was a simple task to turn over a deal to the title company and rest assured that the deal will get closed easily. Those days are gone. Title insurance companies are dropping like flies and you need to have a high quality trust worthy title insurance company to work out for your deal and make sure that the deal gets closed. One of the first things that we always recommend any investor do is to get some sort of information in advance about whether a deal is worth pursuing i.e…… is the title clear?…… and is the person were dealing with have the authority to make a deal? You need to have somebody on your team who is willing to work with you to ensure that you can reach your goal. You will have a unique opportunity at this meeting to meet an owner of a title insurance company who is been around “forever” and is an investor friendly title company. Most title companies have very little interest in dealing with investors but not Jim he embraces them. Were very fortunate to have him available for this meeting. HERE’S OUR AGENDA:
5:30 PM to approximately 6:30 PM: Networking, Dinner, drinks, meet and greet. At this point in the meeting everybody will have an opportunity to introduce themselves, give us your elevator speech about what you do, and to give us your input about the real estate market.
6:30 PM to 7 PM: Time permitting we will do buy sell trade were folks who have properties they are interested in selling can offer them up, and folks from the crowd can pick up art their deal and ask them detailed questions about it.
7 PM to 7:30 PM After introductions networking: Once everybody has had the opportunity to hear with the other folks in the room do invariably folks want to go introduce themselves and do business with each other. During this point in our meeting folks are encouraged to go meet with other people that they can do business with or can help in some way shape or form.
